KuhBar

Sustainability as a matter of course

In the tourism sector, sustainability is becoming increasingly important, especially for building projects outside the building zone. The aim is to realise projects not merely to meet minimum requirements, but as a contribution that adds value for society, the environment and the economy. Albertin Architects developed an innovative roof shape for the KuhBar that provides space for a large photovoltaic system. In the winter months the electricity generated can be used directly for the KuhBar and the neighbouring Tschuggenhütte; in summer, surplus electricity flows into other infrastructure of the mountain railways.

Viamala Story

The architecture of the "Viamala Story" combines sustainable construction with harmony with the landscape. The project on the edge of the village of Thusis is surrounded by mountains and the Viamala gorge, and the mighty Mount Rätia towers over the scene. The construction carefully takes the natural conditions into account: through the interplay of open and enclosed spaces, the beauty of the landscape is integrated into the building, while the materials come from the region. The facade was built of timber and painted green, allowing the building to blend harmoniously into its surroundings. A hybrid construction of solid floor slabs and timber facade elements forms a sustainable solution that combines stability and natural aesthetics.

3. Hosting and server logs

This website is hosted by Mittwald CM Service GmbH & Co. KG, Königsberger Straße 4–6, 32339 Espelkamp, Germany. The servers are located in Mittwald’s data center in Germany.

With every request, the server processes technically necessary data: IP address, date and time, requested address, referrer, browser type and operating system. This serves the secure and stable delivery of the website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (DSGVO)). A data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR exists with Mittwald.

Access logs are stored with a truncated IP address and deleted after 60 days; error logs are deleted after 7 days. We do not analyze the logs.

4. Storage in your browser

We store only small entries in your browser’s storage that the site needs in order to function. They contain no information about you, are not transmitted to us and apply only to the current session; they disappear when you close the browser tab:

  • “enecs-intro”: the intro animation plays only once,
  • “enecs-archiv-ansicht”: the selected archive view (register, grid, atlas) is retained,
  • “enecs-guide”: the history of your search queries in the ENECS Guide.

The legal basis is Section 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG (technically necessary).

The form is processed on our web space at Mittwald and delivered to us by email at info@enecs.com; it is not stored on the web space itself. The email delivery logs at Mittwald are anonymized after one day and deleted after 60 days at the latest. An invisible field helps against spam; we do not use reCAPTCHA or similar services.

We delete inquiries as soon as they have been dealt with, after 6 months at the latest. If a commission results from an inquiry, we retain the correspondence for six years in accordance with the statutory retention periods (Section 257 HGB, Section 147 AO).
