Energy-efficient renovation – conversion of the Monsorno & Trauner atelier in Auer

This building task is a typical one today in the residential areas of the 1950s. The outlines of the existing buildings are not changed, yet they are adapted to modern living conditions and needs.

This existing building on Sportplatzweg in Auer, consisting of a house with an annex from the 1950s, was renovated for energy efficiency to CasaClima B (KlimaHaus) standard in the course of the works.

Renovation and modernisation of a listed residential building, Prad am Stilfserjoch

The listed building is preserved in its materiality and haptic quality. The plaster surfaces are retained and repaired only at selected points. Thermal insulation is applied as internal insulation. All windows are made to CasaClima (KlimaHaus) standard in untreated larch.

Aluminium drip edges and sheet-metal flashings on the window sills are dispensed with. The roof structures and canopy areas are also executed as delicately as possible and without timber treatment.

New-build Villa D. Laas

The house is located in Laas, the marble village in South Tyrol. White Laas marble is the main component of the white concrete building envelope.

The new building stands in an expansion zone. The residential building consists of a rectangular volume that clearly absorbs the impact to the east of the building and attempts to respond to the topography.
