Hotel Plunhof
The Wellness Hotel Plunhof is located in Ridnaun near Sterzing. The 4-star superior hotel is managed by the Volgger family, composed of eight siblings and mother Paula, under the motto “Home of the generations” is one of the most renowned wellness hotels in South Tyrol. In addition, the hotel has an EU Ecolabel certification and a climate hotel pre-certification, which will be completed in the course of the realization of the next construction lot, which is currently being planned.
The architectural design of the conversion focuses on two themes: The connection to the centuries-old mining tradition of the location, which was implemented through the choice of materials and the integration of targeted design elements, as well as the connection to nature through the large-scale window elements with flowing transitions between inside and outside, as well as unique panoramic views of the mountains of Ridnaun.
