KINDERGARTEN SCHLUDERNS

Child-friendly and sustainable: With the Schluderns kindergarten, Roland Baldi Architects realized a wooden building with a gable roof, plastered facade and significant, differently sized windows, which with their staggered arrangement and dimension are reminiscent of an oversized children’s drawing.

Inside, all rooms are accessed via the spacious, light-filled foyer, which is also a welcome, recreation and play area.

Civil defense center Ritten

Saving architecture, stamped out of concrete: With the new building of the Civil Defense Center Ritten, Roland Baldi Architects have built a joint home for the fire department, the mountain rescue service and the White Cross, which creates cross-competence conditions for smooth operations.

The two-story structure, built as Klimahaus A, was integrated into the natural course of the terrain and communicates with the main street running there and the residential zone behind it via the north-facing entrance area. Most of the volume, however, was arranged in a compact structure below the parking lot.
